Our Mission
St. Mark's is a Catholic community inspired by Gospel values where relationships are rooted in love. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to live out our faith and a dedication to embrace excellence in all that we do. We believe in education that instils possibilities, transforms lives and enables all to fulfil their potential.
St. Mark's enjoys an outstanding reputation for academic achievement based on a consistent record of excellent examination results. We are proud of the progress that all of our pupils make, and we are committed to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning throughout the curriculum. We expect all pupils to work hard, to show respect and courtesy for others and to take pride in their appearance. The continuing success of St. Mark's School is based on a positive partnership between parents and school and we are a true family school for brothers, sisters and parents.
Outstanding Ofsted and Catholic Schools Inspection Results
We are thrilled to share that St Mark’s Catholic School has been judged Outstanding in all areas in our most recent Ofsted inspection, conducted in September 2022. This exceptional outcome is a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of our staff, students, and the entire St Mark’s community.
Additionally, following our Catholic Schools Inspection on 14th–15th November, St Mark’s was once again graded Outstanding overall, achieving Grade 1 (Outstanding) in all nine areas of the inspection framework. This remarkable achievement recognises not only our academic excellence, but also the strength of our Catholic Life, Mission, and Collective Worship across the school.
We invite you to read the attached inspection reports, which highlight the outstanding work of our RE department and celebrate the vibrant Catholic ethos that underpins everything we do at St Mark’s.
