Personal Development

At St Mark's Catholic School, Personal Development is rooted in our mission to be a Catholic community inspired by Gospel values, where relationships are grounded in love, dignity and service to others.

We believe every child is uniquely valued and called to fulfil their God given potential. Through our Personal Development programme, pupils are encouraged to grow not only academically, but also spiritually, morally and socially, developing the confidence, compassion and resilience needed to flourish in school and beyond.

Our provision reflects the values and diversity of our community and helps pupils to become thoughtful, responsible and ambitious young people who understand the importance of respect, inclusion and contributing positively to society.

Personal Development is woven throughout daily life at St Mark’s through tutor time, assemblies, PSHCE and RSHE, careers education, enrichment, student leadership, Catholic Life and Mission and the wider opportunities that shape our school community.

We are proud to provide a rich and ambitious programme that broadens horizons, nurtures character and enables all pupils to develop the knowledge, values and experiences needed to lead healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives.
