Welcome to St Marks Catholic School; an outstanding, oversubscribed Catholic School in West London. Ofsted stated “The School has achieved a near perfect balance of ensuring that pupils make great progress and attain high standards but at the same time develop into well rounded, independent caring, courteous and upright citizens”.

This Summer's A Level results were outstanding with A*-A grades 41% and A*-B grades 75%, the best results in Hounslow Local Authority. Twenty two students achieved all A*/A grades including two students who gained three A* grades. Over 100 students are moving on to Universities including Oxford and Cambridge and studying competitive courses such as Medicine.

This Summer's GCSE results were also outstanding. 90% of students achieved standard passes and 66% strong passes in both English and Maths.  63% of students achieved a standard pass in the English Baccalaureate and 55% a strong pass.  The Progress 8 score for all students was exceptional, 0.89.  The score for Disadvantaged students was also outstanding, 0.81. 40% of grades were A*/A. 42 students achieved the equivalent of 8+ A*/A grades with three students gaining the equivalent of 10 A* grades.

The Sunday Times has listed St. Mark's as the 13th best Comprehensive School in the country based on GCSE and 'A' Level results in Summer 2017.

The Catholic ethos is at the heart of all that we do in St Mark’s and we were delighted to be judged outstanding in every category in the most recent Diocesan Inspection. Alongside outstanding academic achievement the school benefits from a new, state of the art theatre and high spec sports centre for students and staff. The school has created a sociable and friendly environment, noted by Ofsted as a “delightful atmosphere”.

Teach South East.

We are proud to be a Partner school of Teach SouthEast, an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provider. Through the Partnership, a high quality, bespoke School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme is delivered for aspiring secondary school teachers across the South East of England.

Led by two 'outstanding' schools, Salesian School in Chertsey and SJB in Woking, who, alongside us, are passionate about training and developing the outstanding teachers of tomorrow. SJB and Salesian are partners in the Surrey Teaching Schools Network (STSN) which has been licensed to deliver the National College Leadership Programmes. Jointly, they take a lead on the professional development of teachers, support staff and future leaders.

High-quality training enables all trainees to develop into confident and competent professionals. Trainees are well prepared through first-rate, complementary placements which ensure that they gain substantial practical experience, developing their evaluative and practical teaching skills effectively. This is within a Home school placement, four days a week, with the fifth day spent receiving General Professional Studies and subject specific training. In-school expert mentors and external subject trainers have consistently high expectations and work collaboratively to ensure training is coherent and highly relevant to the needs of trainees.
